Lucite tables in a classic setting?

my formal living room
Surely, you can't be tired of my home. There is still so much work ahead, much of it fun.
As you can see,I have a pair of matching Duncan Phyfe style end tables and it's dowdy cousin, that coffee table. The coffee table will have to find another home because I hate it.
The Sheraton style sofa stays too. At some point, hopefully soon, the mini blinds will leave and a fabulous chinoiserie fabric will grace the windows.
That being said, I don't want to keep things in only one style.
Its just not me.
Ethel Kennedy's home
As far as non-designers go, Ethel Kennedy is one of my heroes for using the standard preppy, chic with an edgy (for the time) salmon pink and fabulous lucite table.
Notice the charcoal of Bobby (?) above the sofa. The lines, fabric, and artwork are rather expected yet the wall color was a slight departure from the 70s and 80s stylish pink. The clear table gives it a modern edge and a visual lightening with all of that pattern.
My own living room is kid-free and begs for a less traditional piece as it grows into a space I like.

I'd like this.
Can you see it here?
Look at these rooms with classic features and lucite tables.

I think Lucite pairs well with classic pieces, don't you?

Join me in my addiction, won't you?

Marrakesh table
I feel compelled to look at every side table on the internet these days.
I saw the "Marrakesh" table on Lonnymag.com and it was a different table. It was $250 and I almost bought it.

Moro table

It was similar to this "Moro" table but white and I felt I had to have it.
It is probably best that Lonny made it so popular that it went away but I keep going back to Plantation's side table page.
Linked table

Can you blame me? I just fantasize about where I could put them.
Corinth table
This Corinth table would make a lovely bar.
Lookout table
I thought the Lookout table was wood but it is bronze. I'll keep it in my mental file as a stylish, kid-proof option for someone.
Sigma table
I love this one too.
West elm table
This $129 number from West Elm has my attention as well.
And just to end on a weird note...
Bazaar tables
These fabric wrapped nesting tables at Urban Outfitters seem impractical. How would you wipe up a spill? I guess the college set embraces the patina of filth. Maybe they meant "bizarre" tables.
Urban Outfitters does have some cute furniture that is not so boring although I can't speak to the quality.

I really don't need another side table, although I have a spot for one, I must stop filling every empty spot in my home.

textural tables

As I recently took a look around my family room, I thought it had, or was about to have too much texture.

The orange beast was reincarnated in a lovely, warm gray.

To that was added my kid proof rustic table and accessories. Soon to come are bamboo shades and drapes...

in this Robert Allen fabric on four windows behind the sofa.
I have Kirsch wrought iron rods for them. Hmm, rustic-y.

There are two medium tone wood dressers and an antique wood milking chair in the room.
Also, this chair in a black velvet will be arriving in a week or so.
I figured I need something light and fresh, maybe shiny and sleek too to tone down all the wood and rich texture in this very bright room.
So I bought one of these and almost bought a very, boring and safe second when I found this...
on Etsy. Yay! I'm so excited that every thing is coming together. I'll post photos as soon as it all arrives.
